Melt baking chocolate and butter in top of double boiler, or microwave 1 minute on HIGH. Stir to blend well; cool. Combine remaining ingredients in large bowl; blend in melted chocolate. Beat 3 minutes at medium speed. Pour batter into a 9x13-inch greased and floured pan. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes. Frost with Chocolate Caramel Frosting.
Chocolate Caramel Frosting:
Melt butter; add brown sugar and light cream. Bring to boil over low heat, stirring. Remove from heat. Add semisweet chocolate, blend until melted. Pour into bowl. Cool at room temperature. Beat in confectioners’ sugar and vanilla. Beat until smooth. May add milk to thin. Be sure to cool cake and frosting completely before icing cake
