This hot spiced wine is a favorite after-skiing drink. One cup boiling water to which add a thick slice of lemon, 4 cloves, and 2 cinnamon sticks—boil 5 minutes. Then add 2 cups of any heavy red wine (Marca Petri is good), and sugar to taste. Reheat, but do not boil.
Fun Fact: The Continental Divide of the Americas, or Great Divide, is the principal, and largely mountainous, hydrological divide of the Americas that separates the watersheds that drain into the Pacific Ocean from those river systems that drain into the Atlantic Ocean (including the Gulf of Mexico). The Great Divide follows along the main ranges of the Rocky Mountains.
