Line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper. Beat egg whites till stiff. Gradually beat in sugar till stiff peaks form. Fold in flour. Cook in double boiler over boiling water about 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and blend in vanilla and nuts. Spread in prepared 9x13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 15–20 minutes or until top looks dull. While warm, cut into bars. Cool slightly, then remove from pan. To remove paper, dampen it with cold water.
