1. Cut pork in 1-inch cubes. Combine soy sauce, sugar, Five Spices and salt. Add to pork and toss. Refrigerate, covered, overnight.
2. Peel potatoes and cut in 1 1/2-inch cubes. Arrange in a deep heatproof bowl with pork cubes on top. Pour the pork marinade over.
