1. Heat oven to 350°. Have baking sheets ready.
2. Mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Beat butter, sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl with electric mixer until fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. On low speed, gradually beat in flour mixture. By hand, stir in apricots and pecans. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls about 1 1/2 inches apart onto baking sheets. Bake 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool 1 minute on baking sheets. Remove to wire racks to cool.
