Directions:

Time is a precious commodity today. But making time, even in small amounts, to move your body will help and make you feel better about yourself. Some activities are listed below, but we’re sure we haven’t thought of everything! Add your own ingenious exercises.

-Take the stairs instead of the escalator or elevator.
-Do yard work.
-Park your car at the end of a row of spaces or farther from the entrance.
-Use idle time (airport layovers, medical appointments, waiting to be seated in a restaurant) to take a walk.
-Walk, bike or in-line skate to work rather than driving or busing.
-Schedule walk dates instead of lunch dates.
-Mow the lawn.
-Walk around the entire shopping center instead of just select stores.
-Wash the car by hand.
-Carry your own groceries.
-Walk the dog.
-Make more than one trip, such as carrying laundry, etc.
-Do housework to music.
-Avoid shortcuts.
