Place sesame seeds in heavy skillet over low heat and stir till golden. Set aside. Mix sugar, salad oil, and eggs in electric mixer at medium speed till light and fluffy. Add flour and mix thoroughly. Stir in vanilla and sesame seeds.
Drop by teaspoons on greased baking sheets and bake at 325° for about 10 minutes or until golden. Let stand on cookie sheet for 2 minutes before removing from pan. When cool, store in a covered container.
