Beat Wesson oil and butter. Add confectioners’ sugar and 1 cup granulated sugar and beat well. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, soda, cream of tartar, and salt. Stir into sugar mixture. Mix well. Chill at least 2 hours. Roll into balls and roll them in granulated sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and flatten with bottom of glass dipped in sugar also. Don’t flatten too thin. Bake at 375° for approximately 10 minutes (depends on your oven) until light brown at edges.
