Brown onion in butter. Soak bread crumbs in milk. Mix onion and milk mixture with meats, egg, sugar, salt, ginger, pepper, and nutmeg. Form into meatballs and brown in skillet. When brown, put in casserole.
Gravy:
After all the meatballs are browned, add flour to drippings in skillet; add soup, water, and instant coffee. Pour Gravy over meatballs and bake in oven until bubbly.
