1 pound ham ground cooked
1 pound ground pork
1 cup crackers crumbs, saltine
1 egg lightly beaten
3/4 cup milk
Dash hot sauce

2 pineapple tidbits (reserve syrup)
2 cups pineapple juice canned
1/2 cup brown sugar
6 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 cup cider vinegar
6 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups green bell peppers thinly sliced strips
1/2 cup onions thinly sliced
Heat oven to 350° F. Combine meat and remaining ingredients; roll into balls about walnut-size. Place in 9 x 13-inch baking dish and cover. Bake for 45 minutes. Prepare the following sauce.
Sweet and Sour Sauce:
*In a medium-size saucepan, combine reserved pineapple syrup, pineapple juice, brown sugar, cornstarch, vinegar, soy sauce, and salt. Bring to a boil and stir with a whisk for 3 to 5 minutes until thickened. Add pepper strips and onion; simmer for 2 minutes. Add pineapple tidbits and remove from heat. Pour sauce over meatballs. Return to oven and bake for 10 minutes or until sauce is hot and bubbly.
Note: This is delicious served over rice.
