Pepper Steak

   1 1/2 pounds beef round steaks cut 1/2 -inch thick
   1/4 cup flour
   1/2 teaspoon salt
   1/8 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
   1/4 cup vegetable oil
   1 cup tomatoes canned, drained (reserve liquid)
   1 3/4 cups water
   1/2 cup onions chopped
   1 garlic small, minced
   1 tablespoon beef bouillon instant
   1 1/2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
   2 green bell peppers large, cut in strips


Cut steak into thin strips. Combine flour, salt, and pepper; coat meat strips with flour mixture. In large skillet cook meat in hot oil until browned on all sides. Add reserved tomato liquid, water, onion, garlic, and bouillon to meat in skillet. Cover and simmer for about 1 1/4 hours or until meat is tender. Uncover; skim off fat. Stir in Worcestershire sauce. Add green pepper strips; cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Add tomatoes; cook 5 minutes longer.
