In a medium saucepan over medium heat, gradually stir reserved pineapple juice into cornstarch; mix until smooth. Add remaining ingredients except pineapple tidbits. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Lower heat and cook until thickened and translucent. Stir in pineapple. Serve warm or chilled.
