Sirloin Tips of Beef

Ingredients

1 pound sirloin tips
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 flour (1/2 cup or so)
2 tablespoons shortening
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup sliced carrot
1 cup cooked tomato
1 water to cover
1 cooked rice or noodles

Directions:

Dredge meat in seasoned flour. Brown in shortening in 350° oven along with onions. Add celery, carrots, and tomatoes. Cover with water and cook 2 hours or until meat is tender. Serve over rice or noodles.
