In a large skillet over medium heat melt butter or margarine add sugar and vinegar stir until sugar is dissolved. Stir in preserves, chutney, mustard and garlic.
Add ham to skillet cook for 5 minutes on each side or until heated through. Transfer ham to a heated platter cover and keep warm.
Add pineapple slices to plum sauce. Cook over medium heat, basting with sauce, for about 5 minutes or until heated through.
To serve, arrange pineapple slices around ham on platter. Spoon remaining sauce over ham and pineapple.
