Trim tough white membrane from each loin.
In an oblong dish stir together wine or sherry, vegetable oil, soy sauce, brown sugar, pepper, gingerroot and garlic. Add pork and coat with marinade. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours, turning once.
Transfer pork to broiler pan rack. Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat source for 7 to 8 minutes on each side or until no longer pink in the center. Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing.
