Whole-Wheat Apple Cookies*

Ingredients

1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 package artificial sweetener
2 tablespoons corn oil
1 egg white
1 cup apple, finely chopped
1/3 cup walnuts, finely chopped

Directions:

1. Sift together flour, soda, and spices

2. Stir in sugar, artificial sweetener, oil and egg.

3. Fold in apple and nuts.

4. Drop by the rounded teaspoonful onto a cookie sheet sprayed with nonstick vegetable cooking spray. Bake at 375 for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Or arrange 8 cookies in a circle on microwave safe pan. (You can turn a casserole upside down.) Cook on HIGH for 2 minutes. Serve warm.
