Parboil spareribs in a 12-inch Dutch Oven in water & vinegar for 20-30 minutes. Drain water and rendered fat off and pat the ribs dry with a paper towel. Season with salt, pepper and your favorite seasonings. (I like to use a little garlic salt in lieu of regular salt. For an oriental flavor use a little Chinese Five Spice.)
At this point, brush the ribs with barbeque sauce and season to taste. Place the ribs in the Dutch and add the can of beer, reserving the last swig for the cook. Put the Dutch Oven in the firepan with 8-10 briquets top and bottom. Bake for 30-45 minutes.
