Peel peaches, chop or grind and mix with lemon juice. add sugar. Mix well and let stand 10 minutes. In small pan, mix water and Sure Jell. boil 1 minute stirring constantly. Add this to the fruit mixture and continue stirring for 3 minutes. Ladle into screw-top jars or plastic containers with snap lids. Cover and let stand at room temperature for 24 hours to set. Refrigerate. Surplus can be frozen.
