Beef, Noodle & Cheese Casserole

Ingredients

1 (8-ounce) package egg noodle
1 pound lean ground beef
3 tablespoons butter, divided
2 (8-ounce) cans tomato sauce
1 cup cream-style cottage cheese
1/4 cup dairy sour cream
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1 tablespoon chopped bell pepper
1 teaspoon salt

Directions:

Cook noodles according to package directions. Brown meat in 1 tablespoon butter. Add tomato sauce. Remove from heat and set aside. Combine cottage cheese, sour cream, cream cheese, onions, bell pepper, and salt in a separate bowl. Using a 2-quart buttered casserole, spread with half of the noodles. Cover with the cheese mixture. Spread with the remainder of the noodles. Melt remaining 2 tablespoons butter and drizzle over noodles. Top with meat mixture. Bake 30 minutes in 350° oven.
