Homemade Indian Tacos
Brown beef in a skillet over medium heat; drain. Stir in seasoning and beans; cover and keep warm while making Fry Bread. To serve, spread beef mixture over warm Fry Bread; top with garnishes of your choice.
Fry Bread:
In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in enough water to make a soft dough. Divide dough into 4 to 6 portions. On a floured surface, pat each portion into a circle, about one inch thick. In a deep skillet over medium-high heat, heat one to 2 inches of oil to 350 degrees. Fry dough circles, one at a time, until golden on both sides. Drain on paper towels.
Tip: Paper coffee filters make tidy holders for tacos or sandwich wraps...easy for little hands to hold too.
