Cheese-Filled Meat Loaf

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds ground beef
3/4 cup quick rolled oats
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 - 1 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 (8-ounce) package mozzarella cheese (large slices)
1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce

Directions:

Mix beef, oats, onion, egg, salt, oregano, and pepper. Divide meat mixture in 3 parts. In bread loaf pan (approximately 9x5x3 inches), layer 1/3 of meat mixture, 1/2 of cheese, 1/3 meat mixture, rest of cheese and top with last 1/3 of meat mixture. Seal edges as you put in layers. Top with tomato sauce. Bake at 350° for one hour.
