1 loaf french bread 1-pound loaf unsliced
4 tablespoons butter softened
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 cup cheddar cheese soup sharp, shredded
Cut bread into 1/2-inch slices. Spread generously with butter (or margarine) and sprinkle with garlic salt. Top each slice with cheese (1/3 cup Parmesan cheese may be substituted for Cheddar) and bake at 425 degrees F. for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve hot. Makes 10 to 12 slices.
