Maple-Flavored Syrup

Serves: 4

   2 cups sugar
   1 cup water
   1 teaspoon maple extract

In small saucepan bring sugar and water to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat; add maple flavoring. Makes 1 1/2 cups.
