With sharp knife split sweet rolls in half and rearrange so that top and bottom of rolls are pressed together with the two cut surfaces exposed on top and bottom Spread both surfaces of each roll with softened butter (or margarine) and place onto medium hot griddle or skillet. When one side is golden brown, turn roll over and grill other side. Serve warm.
