1 14-ounce package chocolate caramels
2 tablespoons water
3/4 cup chunky peanut butter
3 cups granola cereal plain
1 cup golden raisins
1/2 cup peanuts, salted
Melt caramels and water over medium heat in heavy saucepan, stirring often (or melt in glass dish in microwave oven). Stir in peanut butter. Add granola, raisins, and peanuts; mix well. Pour into a buttered 9x13-inch pan, and cool. Cut into 1x2-inch bars. Makes about 32 bars.
Variation: Substitute plain caramels for chocolate caramels.
