2 gallons popcorn
1/2 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
1 tablespoon water
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
Place popped corn in large pan. Melt butter in saucepan. Add brown sugar, corn syrup, and water. Cook and stir till mixture reaches hard boil. Add a pinch of baking soda. Remove from heat and pour over popcorn. Stir to coat thoroughly. Cool; then break into clusters. Store in covered container.
Hint: Place popcorn in heavy brown grocery bag; pour over syrup; close bag and knead the bag with both hands till corn is well-coated.
