In a Dutch oven, melt butter over medium-high heat; mix in brown sugar, flour, and corn syrup, stirring occasionally, until mixture comes to a full boil. Boil a full minute, stirring constantly. Mix cereal and trail mix in large bowl, then pour into Dutch oven mixture, tossing to coat all the way to bottom. Press into greased 9x13-inch pan; cool and cut into 30 bars.
Fun Fact: Dark brown sugar is 6.5% molasses; light brown sugar is 3.5% molasses. You can make your own by mixing one tablespoon molasses to one cup of white sugar for dark, less for light brown sugar. Generally when a recipe calls for brown sugar, it is referring to dark; use light only when specified. Natural brown sugar is a name for raw sugar, which comes from the first crystallization of sugar cane.
