Preheat oven to 425°. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Using fingers or dough cutter, cut butter into dry ingredients until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add buttermilk and stir until moistened. Drop biscuits (about 1/4cup dough per biscuit) onto baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake until biscuits are golden, about 15 minutes. Serve warm.
