Mix all ingredients except nutmeg. Pour into custard cups (5 or 6). Sprinkle with nutmeg. Place cups in a deep skillet. Pour hot tap water in around the cups as high as possible. Bring water to a full boil. Turn off heat. Cover skillet and let stand 10–20 minutes, or until knife inserted into the custard comes out clean. Remove cups from the water and chill.
