Prepare brownies or cake according to package directions; cool and cut into cubes. In 9x13-inch pan, layer 1/2 of cake or brownie cubes, then top with 1/2 of bananas, 1/2 of pudding, and 1/2 of Cool Whip. Sprinkle nuts on top. Repeat layers and top with cherries.
