In a small mixer bowl at medium speed, beat butter or margarine until fluffy. Gradually beat in cheese, scraping bowl occasionally. Add sherry, horseradish, garlic powder and hot pepper sauce beat well. Pack into a crock or covered container. Cover and chill at least 24 hours.
Remove from refrigerator about 1 hour before serving with crackers.
