Cook grits and water in microwave 8–10 minutes or until done. In a skillet, sauté onion, chiles, peppers, and garlic in butter until tender. In a large bowl, beat eggs. Add cheese and salt. Add grits and onion mixture to egg mixture. Stir well and pour into a greased 8x8-inch baking dish. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until set.
