Mix sugar, vinegar, and water in 5-quart pan. Tie allspice and cloves in cheesecloth. Put this and cinnamon into mixture. Cover and boil 5 minutes. Peel peaches; drop into boiling syrup a few at a time. Simmer until tender, about 5 minutes. Pack peaches in sterile jars. Cover with syrup. Seal.
