1. In a 2-quart saucepan, place chicken broth, stewed tomatoes with juice, celery, rice, and bay leaf. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 20 to 25 minutes or until rice is done and celery is tender. Remove bay leaf.
2. Add okra to soup. Cook 3 to 5 minutes or until done. Add shrimp. Taste soup and sprinkle with pepper if desired. Bring just to a boil and serve.
