Yield: 85 small cookies
Using mixer, cream together margarine and brown sugar. Add egg and vanilla; mix well. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt; add gradually to creamed mixture. Mixture will be stiff. Using spoon, stir in cherries, chocolate chips, and coconut. Chill in refrigerator about 2 hours. Roll chilled dough between hands into 1/2-inch small balls. Place on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350° for 8 minutes or until light brown.
