1 pound pork sausages bulk pork sausage
1 teaspoon dry mustard
3 eggs lightly beaten
1 1/4 cups milk
3/4 cup half and half
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
Dash black pepper freshly ground
6 slices white bread crusts removed
1 cup cheddar cheese mild, shredded or American cheese (4 oz.)
2 green chilies canned, seeded and chopped*
1/4 cup cheddar cheese mild, shredded or American cheese (1 oz.)
In a large skillet over medium-high heat brown sausage; drain off fat. Stir in mustard.
In a medium bowl mix together eggs, milk, half-and-half, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Arrange bread in bottom of dish. Top with sausage and cheese. Pour egg mixture over. Cover with foil and refrigerate for 3 hours or overnight.
Preheat oven to 350° F. Top with green chilies and cheese. Bake, covered, for 30 minutes or until set. Remove cover and bake 5 minutes longer or until lightly browned.
* More green chilies may be added according to your taste.
