Mix together yeast, water, sugar, oil and salt. Add 4 cups flour and mix. Add enough flour to make stiff dough. Mix well. Cover and let rest 15 minutes. Knead for 5 minutes. Let rise until doubled. Divide dough into 24 pieces and roll into 8-inch ropes. Dip in butter, then roll in cheese. Place on greased baking sheet sprinkled with corn meal. Sprinkle sticks with garlic salt and parsley. Cover with dean dish towel and let rise until double (about 30-45 minutes). Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
