I was born in 1942, six years after the first Betty Crocker took her place in my mother's kitchen. Mom had a true love for cooking, baking, and candy making and at a very early age started sharing that passion with me, her only daughter.
I am a busy person and involved with my family, my business, my horses, and the community. I have raised three sons of my own as well as two stepsons. I have four grandsons and two granddaughters of which one fondly calls me, "the cupcake and gingerbread house grandma!" My lovely mother is now greatly debilitated as the result of numerous strokes and is no longer able to bake and cook. I am passing her legacy on by teaching my grandchildren to enjoy cooking as much as Mother and I enjoyed cooking together all those years.
I do know, without a doubt, that Betty's cake mixes are my favorite and most often used product. Everyone in my family loves cake, especially me! With your cake mixes, I can make a wide variety of baked goods in addition to cakes. For example, I frequently use the mix for cookies, cupcakes, dumpcakes, cheesecakes, crumb cakes, bundt and pound cakes, fruitcakes, breads, even my holiday gingerbread houses with all of my grandchildren. I have used Betty Crocker products all my cooking years. I always have felt like I was providing my family with a distinctive, first-class meal that Betty Crocker recipes and products had provided for me.
