Susan graduated from James Madison University in Virginia. It was there that she met her husband, Bruce Molzan, and together with his culinary skills they opened the Ruggles Grill in 1986. Susan reigns over the monumental desserts made fresh each day at the restaurant. Her style is big, all-American desserts that simply taste good. Despite the success of the restaurant, the Molzans still found time to start their family. Susan always finds time to spend with the girls, and customers always enjoy seeing them at the restaurant.
Susan's bright smile and contagious laugh make seeing her a high point of anyone's visit to the restaurant. To the employees, she's a mother figure, a great shoulder to lean on, and someone who cares.
Susan's extended family in Houston include the End Hunger Network and Citizen's for Animal protection as well as numerous AIDS organizations. Susan and Bruce were also instrumental in helping the Taste of the NFL raise over $200,000 for food banks and hunger organizations all over the country last year.
And with all this, she is still on hand at the restaurant, either in the kitchen or at the door, with her trademarks-a smile and a hug.
