In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese and sour cream until smooth. Stir in brown sugar and curry powder. Cover and chill for 30 to 40 minutes.
Dip pieces of apple, pear and banana in lemon juice to prevent browning drain well and chill.
To serve, place dip in a small bowl on a lettuce-lined chilled platter. Surround with fruit. Place almonds and coconut separately in individual bowls. Spear fruit with wooden picks, dip in curry mixture, then in almonds or coconut.
