Mexican Barbecued Pork |

Print this Recipe
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2 cup onions chopped
1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
2 tablespoons green chilies chopped
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon chili powder or to taste
1 1/2 cups pork roast chopped cooked
6 taco shells
1/3 cup cheddar cheese shredded
In medium saucepan, melt butter or margarine, and sauté onion for 5 minutes, stirring. Add tomato sauce, green chilies, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, and pork. Simmer for 10 to 20 minutes to blend flavors, stirring 2 or 3 times. Add more chili powder if desired. Fill each taco shell with about 1/4 cup mixture and sprinkle with cheese.
