2 pounds ground beef
1 onion medium chopped
1 10 1/2-ounce can cream of mushroom soup
1 1/2 cups milk
1 8-ounce package egg noodles cooked until barely tender
1 2-ounce jar green olives stuffed, drained and chopped
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese grated
1 cup chow mein noodles
1 cup roasted salted
Heat oven to 350° F. In a skillet brown meat and onion; drain off any accumulated fat. Blend in soup, milk, egg noodles, olives, salt, and pepper. Layer meat mixture and cheese in a greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chow mein noodles and peanuts. Bake 20 to 30 minutes longer or until browned and crisp on top.
