Cracker Pie

Ingredients

3 egg whites
1 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
pinch of salt
20 dates, chopped
1/2 cup chopped nuts
12 soda crackers, rolled fine

Directions:

Beat egg whites until stiff. Gradually add sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix in other ingredients. Pour into greased pie pan and bake in 350° oven for 20 minutes. do not overbake. Wonderful hot or cold. Whipped cream or ice cream topping can be used, but is good plain.
