1. Grill, broil or toast bread slices on both sides until light golden brown. While hot, rub cut side of garlic over 1 side of each bread slice.
2. Drizzle 1 teaspoon oil over garlic-rubbed side of each bread slice sprinkle with salt and pepper. Top each with tomato slices sprinkle with basil. Drizzle remaining oil over tomato slices. Serve immediately.
