Tropical Fruit Rum Slush |

Prep Time: 20 minutes (ready in 8 hours 40 minutes) - Yield: 24 (1-cup) servings
2 cups sugar
3 cups water
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1 (12-ounce) can frozen fruit punch concentrate, thawed
3 cups pineapple juice
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 (1-liter) bottle rum
3 (1-liter) bottles lemon-lime soda, chilled
1. In large saucepan, combine sugar and water; mix well. Bring to a boil. Boil 5 minutes. Cool.
2. In large nonmetal container, combine bananas, fruit drink concentrate, pineapple juice, lemon juice, rum and sugar mixture; mix well. Freeze at least 8 hours or overnight.
3. Twenty to 30 minutes before serving, remove frozen mixture from freezer; let stand at room temperature.
4. For each serving, spoon 1/2 cup slush mixture into glass. Add 1/2 cup carbonated beverage; stir gently. Serve immediately.
