Cook broccoli until tender in the amount of water called for on one package and drain. Have cream cheese out of refrigerator at least 3 hours to soften. Mash together soup mix, cream cheese, sour cream, and chestnuts. Add to drained broccoli and stir well. Place in lightly buttered casserole dish and top with grated cheese and cracker crumbs; dot with butter. Bake at 275° for 30–35 minutes.
