Brown meat in a skillet over medium heat; stir in seasonings and Worcestershire sauce as it cooks. Add onion and mushrooms; continue to cook just until vegetables are tender. Drain; add ham and heat through. Stir in pizza sauce. Place bread on an ungreased baking sheet, cut side up. Spoon meat mixture over bread; top with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes, until golden and cheese is melted. Cut into slices.
Tip: Keep your wooden cutting board in tip-top shape. Protect it from spills by coating with a thin film of olive oil and letting it soak in for a few minutes. Rub dry with a paper towel; repeat several times. Set the board aside for 24 hours before using again.
