In a deep skillet over medium heat, brown sausage and onion; drain. Add water, sauce and uncooked pasta; cover. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender. Add mushrooms; cook 5 minutes. Stir in cheese.
Tip: Try cavatappi pasta or extra-long fusilli pasta in a favorite recipe. With extra twists and turns, these corkscrew-shaped pastas hold the sauce very well...and are just plain fun to eat!
