Scald 2 cups milk, add butter. In mixing bowl, lightly scramble egg, add sugar and salt. Pour in milk, cool to lukewarm. Add yeast, gradually add flour. Knead until smooth cover and let rise until doubled (1 Hour). Roll into 2 inch balls and place 1 inch apart on baking sheet. Cover and let rise for 30 mins. Create depression in middle of roll place 1 tbsp blackberry preserves in hollow. Bake at 350 F for 15 to 20 minutes.
