1 cup mushrooms sliced
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 10-ounce package frozen peas and pearl onions partially thawed
1 10 1/2-ounce can cream of chicken soup condensed
3/4 cup milk
1 1/2 cups chicken diced cooked
2 tablespoons pimiento chopped
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
2/3 cup swiss cheese shredded
In a medium skillet over medium heat, saute mushrooms in butter or margarine for 3 minutes or until limp. Stir in peas, breaking pieces apart. Cover and steam for 4 minutes or until peas are tender.
Stir in soup and milk until blended. Stir in chicken, pimiento and pepper. Stirring, bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Stir in cheese until melted and blended.
Serve over buttered toast, patty shells, biscuits or hot cooked noodles.
